Pinellas PDA Gives Killingsworth The Nod
Organization Applauds Killingsworth's Populist Inclusiveness And Attention To Accountability.
(St. Petersburg) The Pinellas County Chapter of Progressive Democrats Of America (http://www.pdamerica.org) announced today that their membership has endorsed Jack Killingsworth (http://www.jackkillingsworth.com), candidate for Supervisor of Elections.
"Jack's experience with computer technology and his preference for paper ballots over touch screen machines impressed us, along with his passion for accuracy, accountability, and transparency in the process," said acting chair of the Pinellas County PDA, Michael Fox. "His commitment to making the voter role as inclusive as possible while ensuring that all voters are legally registered is a plus as well. He presents himself as an advocate for promoting participation in the process through aggressive voter registration drives and PDA applauds his sincere desire to make citizens aware of their civic responsibility to vote, and to make the process as convenient as possible for every voter."
While Killingsworth looks to be a populist when it comes to helping people vote, his recent statement before a Democratic Executive Committee meeting expresses his focus in PDA-friendly terms: "The People Demand Accountability".
He's for cost-efficient auditing procedures that will be more stringent than those proposed by the Secretary Of State's office, and believes the SOE office can make the process all the more cost efficient by aggressively recruiting volunteers and training them well.
Progressive Democrats Of America is a national organization with over 5,000 members in Florida, and over 300 members in Pinellas County alone. The organization believes inclusive, accurate, and verifiable voting procedures are a must for a functioning democracy.
